DESIGN TRENDS AND TIPS 2007
  1. Bold Color Homeowners are becoming more comfortable with the bold look. Color combinations using rich, bold colors and glossier finishes to add a multi-layered look makes a grand statement, especially for outdoor shutters, walls, trim and fabrics.
  2. Glass Tile Going glass is the hottest alternative to ceramic tile! And surprisingly there’s not much difference in cost! The tiles add depth and luminosity and can be installed everywhere – except floors -- even in outdoor pools and fountains.
  3. Engineered Stone Countertops Made from 94% quartz and 6% pigments and resin, this new countertop trend is heat/cold resistant, mildew free, stain resistant and won’t scratch. It comes in many colors and varies in cost.
  4. Specialty Rooms are still a unique trend for homes today. These rooms could be turning and oversized, extra bedroom closet into craft closets. Then there’s the second laundry room, right in the master suite. How about a luggage room to have all your bags in one handy place for those frequent travelers?
  5. Wallpaper Yes, homeowners, wallpaper is back! This time it’s in the rich, hand-painted torn wallpaper variety. Truly a work of art, adding interest of texture in random pattern, in any color.
